the heart of a donut lies in its hole
and the heart of my december holidays laid in six battery road. its rather ironic how the first week felt like it was taking forever, then the subsequent days fleeted past. what i do remember - the indian security guard who demands the security pass everytime; trotting to n fro the supreme court; getting picked up at the supreme court library (omg); reading more cases than ever (heck i dont even read cases in school); chatting with the paralegal aunties (who got gucci bag and wear crocs ok!); making milo or mugs of hot water just to thaw myself from the central aircon; wearing more formal wear than i ever did in my entire life in three weeks; and what a sweet boy i have who waits for me at 530pm everyday without fail <3
and so it is, although i practically had no december holidays, i wont say i resented it altogether. i would have loved to spend my holidays lazing around instead of waking at 7 everyday; doing facials instead of making up for work to cover eyebags; reading long overdue books instead of never-ending cases; crazy shopping instead of one hour breaks in raffles place. but perhaps it was good that i did something else, for once.
despite all these, i did get to meet up with many, like the sn faith girls, pq n co for bren's christmas party, the usual school gang for jackie's birthday dinner, and omg i must esp put up a pic of these two, whom ive failed to meet up with for whoknowshowmany times -
tammy and daiyan! (not forgetting some minorly freaky hyperactive waiter whom tammy had no qualms laughing DAMN obviously at, oblivious that we could all be kicked to our deaths later on or something. ok i realise i might be overreacting. but still. you didnt see his no-shadow-kick at the dustbins ok. wth.
and so, the december holidays have gone too fast, as usual. but not without -
